This is a letter of appreciation and recommendation. We have visited Breckenridge annually for over 40 years and have owned homes in town for over 30 years. We live on the coast in California part of the time and the visit to Breckenridge is always a challenge, not only because of the altitude but also because of the temperature and especially the low humidity. We moved into our new "smart" home November/December 2012. Because it is a very complex home with lots of cubic feet of space, we were concerned about air quality and general comfort. One of our highest priorities was to have an "airtight" home with sophisticated central humidity controls. Moreover, we wanted to be certain our home met and exceeded all energy efficiency standards.

David Koons' outstanding installations have provided us with everything we wanted. Our home has a constant humidity—around 40% in the winter which means we can sleep in great comfort. It can be easily dialed back in the summer. The circulating fresh air has made a huge difference in our acclimatization when we arrive and our comfort for all our indoor activities. Moreover, we received a 5 Stars Plus Home Energy Rating Certificate verified by High Country Conservation Center, an independent professional organization to meet and exceed strict energy guidelines set the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, with a home energy rating standard (HERS) index of 33 provided by Energy Logic, Inc. David Koons/Comfort by Kodiac Energy Solutions met and exceeded all of the standards and gave us the added comfort and value in our home.

He returned calls, showed up when scheduled, and provided us clear and helpful instructions about the complex systems that we are learning to master.
