Infrared Imaging
Often used in combination with the blower door, our infrared cameras reveal the hidden thermal deficiencies, caused either by air movement or missing or displaced insulation. With the blower door in operation and the building depressurized, outdoor air can be seen with infrared. Once again, this diagnostic tool allows us to identify and prioritize air leakage and insulation issue(s) for correction.
Our lead auditor is a Certified Thermographer, formally trained in the use of infrared cameras and interpretation of the images. This is an important consideration when comparing energy auditing companies for the quality of the report and the accuracy of the energy audit findings.
Infrared imaging shows areas where insulation is missing. Take a look HERE to find out what methods of insulation we use to improve the comfort of your home.
